St Joseph's Primary School in Wagga Wagga is inviting applications for a Temporary Full-Time Classroom Teacher to commence January 2025, joining our amazing, supportive team.
St Joseph's School is centrally located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. As a single stream school, we provide a safe, supportive, and happy environment for all children from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Your New Role
The classroom teacher is the major in-school influence on student achievement and plays the key role of facilitating effective learning and teaching. The first function of the classroom teacher is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.

Salary to be determined by NESA Accreditation Status Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to the Catholic Faith. An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education. Recent experience applying the Wonder and Awe pedagogy for teaching Religious Education. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the new K-6 English and Mathematics syllabus and the ability to implement effective pedagogical practices. Skills to analyse and interpret data to inform teaching and learning practices. Is able to develop a positive learning environment using effective classroom management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes in accordance with the Positive Behaviours for Learning framework. Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents, Parish priests, and the wider community.
