Classroom Teacher - Contract (Maternity Leave, 12 Months)

a commitment to evidence-based best practices, with experience in or a capacity to enact explicit and direct instruction approaches/strategies; an understanding of Structured Literacy; strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and improve within a team environment; an ability to use student assessment information to inform whole class and targeted small group instruction; an ability to promote student wellbeing and engagement; a strong ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues; have a firm commitment to Catholic education; be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety. Special Requirements applicants should be accredited to teach in a Catholic school or demonstrate a willingness to achieve accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school; all applicants require VIT registration (or expectation to obtain for graduates). Salary: FTE $74,976 to $111,221 (Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (VCEMEA))
