RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection to improve their practice.
ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students;Contributing to curriculum development;Undertaking other teaching-related duties as determined by the Principal;Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings;Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
