Applications are invited from enthusiastic and passionate Classroom Music Teacher for a part-time (0.8 FTE approx.) based at our Glen Waverley campus. This position is a temporary position for the 2025 school year, with the possibility of ongoing.
Are you a passionate and dynamic music educator with the skills to inspire students in Years 7-12? We are looking for an exceptional teacher to bring energy, creativity, and expertise to our music program in a part-time (0.8 FTE approx.) role. This position calls for a skilled musician and educator who thrives in a classroom setting, has strong guitar skills, and can lead engaging contemporary ensembles.
The suitable applicant would have:
Classroom Music skills: an ability to teach and motivate students at all skill levels, fostering a love for music and encouraging musical exploration. Guitar proficiency: strong guitar skills that bring versatility to the classroom and ensemble programs, making music accessible and fun for our students. Ensemble directing experience: the capability to inspire teamwork and facilitate creativity through group music-making, including guitar ensembles and cover bands. Music Technology & Live Sound knowledge: some experience teaching sound production and recording techniques, with proficiency in software such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro.
