About TimbarraTimbarra offers specialist programs in Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Physical Education. In addition to core curriculum areas, Timbarra provides Secondary students with many co-curricular opportunities, particularly in sport and music. The Year 9 Electives program caters to different learning styles and personal interests. Timbarra provides a unique Year 9 Melbourne Experience program and an extensive Careers and Transition Program, job skills workshops, and individual pathway guidance for students transitioning from Timbarra College P-9 to their next educational setting.
All students have access to state-of-the-art facilities including a STEM Centre and Sporting Hub. This may include coordination of other education support class staff. Duties will not include responsibilities of a teacher as defined in the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic).
Responsibilities may include:
Providing routine support for teachers, including planning student routines.Supporting communication between teachers and parents.Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.Communicating with students to support comprehension of tasks.Addressing immediate behavioral presentations in the classroom.Providing medical intervention support under specific training.Supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
