About the Class Action Lawyer Role:Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will take carriage of class actions and commercial litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities: You will be involved in and take carriage of end-to-end class actions (across areas of financial services, securities litigation, human rights, personal injury, and consumer law), with opportunity to dabble in complex commercial litigation and regulatory investigations work.Drafting of pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and court papers alike.Brief counsels, client management, witnesses and attending to court.Key Requirements: Admitted as a solicitor with practising rights in Australia.Between 2 and 10 years of PQE in dispute resolution in Sydney and/or Melbourne.Experience handling class actions and/or complex and large scale commercial litigation and regulatory investigations.Possess sound technical knowledge on court procedures and rules.Good communication and interpersonal skills.If you are a commercial litigator or a class actions lawyer interested in the class actions space which is a sought after practice area in Australia, and your ideal law firm is an established one where you will work with highly regarded practitioners in this arena, this is the role for you.
