A position exists at our Cairns Branch for a suitably qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic Workshop Leading Hand.
What we are looking for: The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our workshop personnel and customer repairs/servicing, in a hands-on role. The successful applicant will be trade qualified as a Diesel Mechanic and will have extensive trade experience in the construction equipment sector, with the ability to effectively communicate with equipment owners, customers and staff.
The position calls for: Trade qualified heavy diesel fitter Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a leading hand role Efficient management of the workshop procedures and work flow Competent fault finding skills, and the ability to read service related drawings Sound knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems A positive attitude and pride in workmanship, appearance and paperwork Ability to build a great team environment Strong leadership skills Appropriate communication with staff, customers and operators Efficient diagnostic and repair procedures to be executed in a timely and professional manner Proficient paperwork and record keeping Strong teamwork and flexibility with a commitment to deliver a very high level of customer satisfaction Provide appropriate trade qualifications and experience, drivers licence, appropriate workplace qualifications to work on site, or other current licenses A willingness to participate in product and company training as it is available A professional and tidy approach to task, communication and company facilities Applicants that want a leadership role and have a great attitude in a similar role are invited to apply.
