Exciting opportunity to join our Claims Settlements TeamShowcase your Insurance Claims experience in a growing organisationFull-time, Permanent role based at Mile End, WFH after probationYour new opportunity Due to continued growth, a fabulous new opportunity has become available for an experienced Claims Officer to perform the validation and negotiate the settlement of third-party insurer and credit/hire company claims.
This exciting role will involve you determining the validity of third-party claims made against our members. As well as review claim outcomes to establish/challenge liability and determine appropriate settlement strategies to achieve best cost outcomes when settling third parties, to achieve a fair and equitable settlement. You will also:
Deliver exceptional and professional service to members and internal/external customers by identifying, responding to, and satisfying their needsNegotiate settlements for claims within appropriate authority limits and proceduresIdentify possible fraudulent matters and consult with Management on recommended actions to be taken in accordance with the Insurance Contracts Act and the company fraud policy.Process claims payments and associated administrationAble to achieve set KPI's and quality targets consistentlyWhat will set you apart from the rest You are a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture. Motor or similar claims experience is preferredOutstanding attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsA positive can-do attitude and team ethosKnowledge of the General Insurance Code of Practice, The Australian Privacy Principles, Dispute resolution process and legislative requirements arising from the relevant acts.
