Claims Representative - Determinations Location: Brisbane CBD QLD 
Hybrid (5 days from home/5 from the office) a fortnight after 3-month probation. About the Role: As a claims representative you will be responsible for reviewing claims applications, gathering information and making determinations on applications.  This role is ideal for customer-centric problem solvers who enjoy getting outcomes for customers in line with policy and legislation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Gather information for the determination and payment of claims within set KPIs. Provide optimal customer service, ensuring quality and timely decisions. Collaborate with case management Develop specific industry knowledge to better understand customers' needs Maintain all records in accordance with the company's records management policies and procedures, meeting legislative and business requirements. Contribute to the effective functioning of the team through active participation in team meetings, process improvements, and projects. Skills and Experience:
Qualifications: Relevant studies in the insurance environment are highly regarded. Experience: Experience in the commercial insurance environment and/or management of personal injury claims. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions. Communication: Well-developed interpersonal skills to interact with others and develop rapport with all customers. Excellent written communication skills. Willingness to gather information via phone with both claimants and specialists in various industries. Ability to interpret and analyze reports and legislation. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop and manage productive working relationships with internal colleagues and customers, aligning with the business vision and values.
