Reporting to the Management Accountant, the main purpose of the Rebates & Claims Officer role is to assist with the day-to-day administration & processing of rebate & deal claims and payments, claim verification, journal entries & deal approvals.
You will… Oversee claims processing for rebates and deals across all divisions, taking on responsibility for overseeing Builder and the DeLonghi business.Verify claims using approved deal conditions, sell through and other data.Enter payment data for cheque payments into the AP system.Upload approved rebate data into JDE and once approved generate credit notes.Support the GPM system of deal requests and approval process throughout the business.Complete weekly journal entries into JDE and BI systems.Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliation of data and transactions as required.Work closely with the Credit team to facilitate claims processing.Maintain the documentation in the required format.Assist the team to update data for trade spend files.Manage the entry of accruals through to final costs of all requests from the sales team for O&A spend in accordance with delegated authorities.Track actual claims from customer and reconcile to trade spend master files and accruals.
Adjust accruals as required.Maintain supporting work papers and information to show how reconciliations and calculations are performed.Create an accurate and efficient process to calculate monthly, quarterly, annual trade spend and reports required for customers.Follow processes to enable the completion of customer claims and log issues for follow up until resolved.Complete month-end journals and reporting requirements as required.So that's us, what about you? You'll have a collaborative approach to work and will always be on the lookout for ways we can do things better.
You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in the Finance team.
We would prefer someone with experience with claims, rebates, or working in a Credit team.
You will have intermediate to advanced Excel skills and work with big data, as well as well-developed computer and numeracy skills.
And it goes without saying you will demonstrate tenacity when identifying issues and communicating with the team!
It would be an advantage to hold a qualification in accounting.
