OverviewSee yourself in our team: In the role of a Claims Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of a personalised, empathetic and organised claims management service to the SA Community, supporting the return to work process for individuals that have experienced a workplace injury.
Working with our Return to Work Specialist, Impairment Benefit Specialists, Dispute Resolution Officers and other technical roles within the SA operations, the role is responsible for claim management functions, including providing administration support with a focus on internal and external customer service.
How you'll make an impactOn a day to day basis you will: Upload all relevant data and information into Gallagher Bassett and Return to Work SA systems in a timely mannerProvide high quality customer service by actively listening, showing empathy and recognising the needs of the worker and employerReceive phone claim lodgement from injured worker or employer and call secondary party to verify information within appropriate time framesManage the determination of low risk (e.g.
medical expenses only and Noise Induced Hearing Loss) claimsEnsure accurate and timely data entry for determinations and payments, with a particular focus on compliance with legislationEducate all stakeholders on RTW process, legislative requirement, initial claims decision, formal statement requirement and advocate the mobile case management service provided where necessaryProactive claims management support for internal stakeholders e.g.
booking appointments and referral with medical providers, drafting and issuing letters to stakeholders, processing of invoices in a timely mannerAbout youWe are interested in hearing from people who have: Recent work experience within a customer service-based roleStrong administration experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a team player attitudeExceptional time management and organisation skillsExperience working within a dynamic fast-paced environmentWorking with us:GB values its employees and offers a friendly, comfortable working environment that facilitates a Work and Life Balance!
