We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motorcycle team on a Permanent basis. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.
Your responsibilities will include:The management of lodgements and repairs for Motorcycle Claims utilizing multiple claims systems and processesMaintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providersInterpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submittedReceiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claimsAuthorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements andIdentifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.Your story so farExperience in a similar role within Motorcycle Claims will be highly advantageousAn individual who has mechanical or technical bike knowledge will be highly regardedHighly developed customer service, communication and negotiating skillsAn individual who is tech savvy and quick learnerStrong organizational and time management skillsWhile not essential, a motorcycle enthusiast would be advantageous!About QBE
