Sydney location Hybrid working - 2 days in the office with 1 day being in Parramatta Permanent full-time position The opportunity We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Claims Officer within our Financial Lines claims team! This role is dedicated to ensuring the proficient handling of Financial Lines insurance claims, with a primary focus on delivering high-quality claims services to our valued stakeholders.
Your new role Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of financial claims end to end. Timely determination and documentation of policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy and reserving in accordance with company policies, industry standards and applicable legislation. Managing claims using the appropriate external and internal specialists to achieve effective and efficient settlement outcomes. A continuing improvement focus attitude towards implementation of new work practices and procedures, initiating and facilitating change and innovations. Ability to enhance and develop your own technical expertise and participate in professional development and training. Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality customer service and developing strong working relationships with all customers and service providers. Reporting in accordance with relevant company service standards and manuals. Collaborating with underwriting colleagues to optimise portfolio performance. About you Financial lines or casualty/general liability claims experience is preferred. Legal background and/or qualifications. Understanding of relevant industry legislation. Superior verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail alongside excellent analytical and technical skills. Pro-active and energetic team player with the highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling.
