You focus on excellence and creating a culture of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, customer service, and colleague development.As the Property Claims Manager for Australia, you will oversee, manage, and resolve AXA XL's largest, most complex claims.
You will manage our property claims portfolio, oversee best practices, provide insights into emerging risks and trends, and drive lessons learned.
You will act as a key liaison for Underwriters for property in Australia and contribute to overall Claims leadership strategies.This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime.Essential Responsibilities:Monitor and direct a portfolio of property losses and potential exposures, promoting best claim handling practices.Act as a point of coordination and referral for all property claims across Australia.Provide oversight regarding processes related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of claims.Ensure consistent technical claims decisions in line with Global Guidance.Assess potential complex claims across multiple jurisdictions.Provide technical guidance and training for property claims resources across the Region.Collaborate with Country/Regional Claims Management to drive superior claims service.Provide ongoing insights and advice to stakeholders on large losses and emerging risks.Review and embed global and regional best practices.Establish a strong internal and external presence with underwriters, producers, and clients.Coordinate communication with actuarial/reinsurance/underwriting regarding claims exposure changes.Lead Claims response to catastrophe/major events for property in Australia.Manage and develop a team, ensuring robust succession planning.Lead and/or support internal projects to assess and implement improvement opportunities.You will report to the Head of Claims, Australia.Required Skills and Abilities:Proven in-depth property claims experience with portfolio management and complex claims experience.Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional insurance coverage law and claim regulations in Australia.Experience leading a team of experts across various locations.Develop and maintain productive working relationships with insured, brokers, and claim handlers.Proven verbal and written communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.Proactive, analytical, and sound judgment skills.Willing to explore new ideas and continuously improve technical skills.Ability to travel interstate occasionally.High dedication to client and vendor relations.Impeccable reputation for ethics and integrity.FIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
