Description
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for an opportunity to join our Motor Claims Recovery or Motor Settlements teams in permanent full-time roles. The successful candidates will manage a portfolio of claims where you will be required to identify recovery and settlement opportunities, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage complex liability claims, have difficult conversations, and make financial decisions whilst working in a collaborative and motivated team environment.
About the role:
Manage a diverse portfolio of either motor recoveries or settlements claims in a proactive and cost-effective manner, ensuring appropriate strategies are applied for the most effective outcome.
Make and/or defend indemnity and liability decisions in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained for our internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure management of recoveries and settlements is in line with compliance and regulatory standards such as the General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, and Debt Recovery Guidelines.
Constructively manage negotiations with a view of achieving the best possible outcome across all claims.
Actively participate in coaching and training to upskill and build capability within your team.
Full Time, Monday – Friday.
Flexible working arrangements supported between work from home and Eight Mile Plains office.
About you:
Strong people skills and a proven ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (including managing emotionally charged situations).
Previous experience with debt recovery or claims management in the insurance industry is highly desirable or experience across the banking and finance sector.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage priorities and drive own performance.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement, skills development, and change.
Excellent customer service abilities and advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong computer skills and the ability to pick up new computer systems.
