Claims Investigation Specialist - Internal Fraud The role
The Claims Investigation Specialist – Fraud & Investigations will be accountable for building and implementing a robust compliance, intelligence and investigative framework, to ensure effective corporate fraud identification and prevention strategies are in place.
Directly manage a team of one analyst, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management. Develop and implement a comprehensive internal fraud strategy, including predictive analytics and risk assessment methodologies. Lead the investigation of suspected internal fraud cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims. Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of internal fraud risks and best practices across the organisation. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal fraud detection and prevention. Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulations and industry best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the internal fraud program. Collaborate with other departments to share intelligence and promote a culture of compliance. Support development and review of all Operating Procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with current regulatory obligations, standards, and Auto & General guidelines. Identify opportunities for improvement and report recommendations in a timely manner that results in improvements to the Head of Fraud & Claims investigations. Contribute to and drive a positive risk culture. What experience you'll bring
Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a fraud investigation or compliance environment. Strong understanding of internal fraud risks and mitigation strategies. Expertise in developing and implementing predictive analytics and risk assessment methodologies. Strong Stakeholder engagement, team, and management skills. An inclusive state of mind, an ability to work alongside a diversity of colleagues and values with unique perspectives. 3+ years of experience working within a similar position. A background in a fraud environment is desirable. Police investigative or intelligence experience will be favourable. A degree in investigations, intelligence or data analysis would be preferable. Knowledge of HR policies and processes an advantage.
