Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane :
Claims Advisory Specialist What can you expect? An opportunity has become available for a Claims Advisory Specialist to join our Claims team in either Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane.
The successful candidate will operate as an independent individual contributor, providing a high level of claims management services and strategic claims advice to large corporate clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation.

We will count on you to: Provide guidance and review (complex) escalated claims in order to determine coverage and what policies will be impacted by a claim and provide resolution where possible, otherwise referring claim to Claims Advocate to ensure the proper processing of claims. Review incoming documentation and new claims notifications of a complex nature or for large and/or complex clients, inform all relevant parties of any potential problems or contentious claims, and refer to Claims Advocates as needed to ensure the proper protocol is followed. Maintain regular contact with a portfolio of complex and/or large clients to build trust, internal expertise and ensure departmental accountability. Liaise with clients for claim-related issues or client service concerns to resolve complex issues with insurers on claims notifications, updates, information requests, queries, acknowledgements, or other issues, keeping all relevant parties informed, as appropriate, of any potential problems, contentious claims or general claims trends. Participate in internal and external audits as appropriate, provide feedback & recommendations for improvements to help the department improve its operations. Provide guidance in resolving issues with non-paying insurers for outstanding settlements to retain relationships and expected outcomes for those filing for claims. What you need to have: 3+ years of Corporate Insurance Claims experience. Experience in managing technical and/or complex claims. Exposure to Liability and Industrial Special Risks claims would be highly regarded. Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements. Strong interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus. Ability to work autonomously and meet set KPI's.
