What you'll do Manage a portfolio of CTP/MAI claims for customers who have sustained a physical or psychological injury as a result of a motor vehicle accidentProactively work to facilitate the recovery of customers and resolve claims within the earliest possible timeframes whilst achieving an optimal outcomeProvide an excellent level of customer service by working with customers, team members and medical providers to find solutions consistent with their needs and the business objectivesAssess claims for reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation needsEnsure legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with following all internal policies and proceduresContinually assess the Quantum and Estimate of claims utilising the evidence availableCalculate settlement offers, negotiate settlements and attend settlement conferences or hearings with lawyers and CounselUtilise and collaborate with Injury Management Advisor and Technical AdvisorUtilise and collaborate with relevant internal business areas (e.g. Fraud and Investigations, Sharing & Recoveries, Resolution Services) to discuss and action plan file directionSkills & Experience Previous CTP claims or personal injury claims experience with a track record for delivering results would be highly regarded, as would Allied Health and/or legal experienceAbility to demonstrate compassion and empathy for the customerExcellent communication skills – listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders included claimants, third-party providers, external bodies and internal teamsStrong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim within the restraints of the ACT MAI scheme and legislationResilient in natureStrong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectationsWhat we can offer you Hybrid working – a mix of working from home and in the office post-probation to enhance your work/life balanceEmployee discounts and rewards - exclusive offers on more than 400 of Australia's large retailers including Myer, David Jones, Coles and Woolworths.
