Organisation: Department of Transport and PlanningOccupation: Administration/SecretarialReference: 5316About the RoleThis position is fixed term with an end date of 30 June 2025Reporting to the Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for undertaking property insurance and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) claims for natural disaster events that have impacted Victoria's arterial road network from the October 2022 flood and storm event, and subsequent events.Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across DTP, other agencies, and external contractors.Assess and undertake the compilation of claims to meet the Department's property insurance and DRFA process from natural disaster events since the October 2022 flood and storms.Be a collaborative and supportive member of the claims assessing team.Implement, refine, and provide continuous improvement to the property insurance claims process alongside contractors and internal resources.Provide management with accurate and authoritative advice when required.Proactively support emerging priorities with an agility to shift focus to respond to reactive issues and risks to support requirements of management.Key Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be adept at critical thinking and problem-solving, interpreting guidelines, and taking informed actions to resolve issues. They will excel in policy development by conducting thorough research, analysing data, and drafting policies while effectively communicating insights through reports and visualizations. Additionally, the candidate will drive innovation and continuous improvement, skilfully manage stakeholder relationships, and deliver impactful presentations and training materials.Personal AttributesOn a personal level, the candidate will be focused on outcomes, establishing mechanisms to monitor the community impact of their work and ensuring that their team's operations are designed to create positive effects.
