In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
Lead a team of project based engineers, works and assets staff and contractors. Ensure that work output and methods are achieving the companies vision and strategic civil plans. Develop, mentor and encourage staff to achieve relevant outcomes in a timely and cost-effective manner. Liaise with consultants, contractors, community groups on civil related matters as required. Manage the initiation, planning and delivery of multiple capital works projects. Develop and implement policies and strategies in alignment with legislation and industry guidelines Lead teams with a values-based approach to drive organizational culture and goals Manage financial aspects, including budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting Engage with stakeholders to provide outstanding customer service Participate in project and contract management within organisational frameworks Qualifications and Skills Required:
Significant experience in project and maintenance management across civil assets. Civil Engineering Degree with Professional Membership of Engineers Australia Working experience in a leadership role in civil construction and road maintenance. Knowledge of infrastructure standards and local government operations Understanding of pavement techniques involving various methods such as overlaying, patching, crack sealing, and seal coating to preserve and enhance the durability and performance of road surfaces. Demonstrated, high level expertise in the areas of contract documentation, contract management, quality assurance and competitive tendering. Demonstrated financial/budgeting, legal and technical knowledge and skills associated with major project development and management. Significant experience in the management of projects, contractors, consultants and service providers.
