We consider environmental, social and governance factors in tandem with engineering and design decisions that results in more sustainable and resilient solutions.What if you could......shape the career of a lifetime?work with the best and brightest minds in the industry?At WSP you'll find the scale and reach you need to do the kind of work the world needs – and the culture and people that make it the best work of your life.About the role:Provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline.Providing technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business while contributing more broadly across our Australian offices and projects as required.Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities including preparation of bids.Provide mentoring to junior civil engineering staff.Help maintain, enhance and uphold best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team.Undertake project management or discipline lead roles for major multidisciplinary projects requiring civil engineering leadership.Supporting the wider mining infrastructure team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.About you:You MUST have experience leading a team to apply for this role in the mining design space.You must have experience in a consultancy environment in the area of civil engineering with experience designing site water management systems, mine site infrastructure projects, water management structures, road and drainage infrastructure design.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification with at least 15 years relevant post graduate experience.Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).Ability to build relationships, develop business and manage teams of engineers.Experience in managing scope of multiple projects varying complexity and size.About WSP:WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
