The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and supervising construction activities, with a focus on infrastructure projects, particularly those related to Main Roads WA.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Main Roads WA specifications and standards and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage day-to-day civil construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards, especially those of Main Roads WA.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.Oversee site safety, ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with OH&S regulations.Manage materials, resources, and equipment to optimize site operations.Provide technical guidance and problem-solving on-site, addressing challenges as they arise.Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, quality control logs, and site diaries.Ensure that civil works are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality requirements.Conduct regular inspections to ensure that workmanship and materials conform to the required standards and specifications.Liaise with clients, Main Roads WA representatives, and other stakeholders as needed.Train and mentor junior staff and site personnel.Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on roadworks and infrastructure projects.Previous experience working on Main Roads WA projects and a deep understanding of their specifications and standards.Proven ability to manage and supervise construction teams on medium to large-scale projects.Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of OH&S regulations and a strong commitment to safety on-site.Relevant certifications in civil construction or engineering.Preferred Skills
Familiarity with construction management software and tools.Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality control.Ability to resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.Benefits
