We are looking for a motivated and suitably qualified individual who will be instrumental in overseeing construction of civil works including, but not limited to; building foundations, drainage systems, services trenching, pit & pipe installation, fencing, detailed excavations, preparation for concrete works, road construction and maintenance, and generally any civil work required for multi trade projects and general repairs, maintenance and minor upgrades to existing facilities.
The suitable candidate will be responsible for managing and scheduling jobs, work teams and resources, liaising with and managing customer relations, scoping and quoting of works, with the ability to manage multiple jobs, liaise with multiple internal and external trades, and work in a dynamic fast-paced environment for a demanding customer with strict adherence to work protocols.
Supervisors are expected to foster and maintain high standards of safety, efficiency and quality within their work teams and within the wider MPS business through strong leadership and integrity.
Supervisors are responsible for overseeing their workgroup, identifying, communicating, and controlling hazards and risks, and ensuring the safety of all workers on-site by adhering to strict safety protocols and safe work practices in all operations.
Their role includes in-field supervision supporting the work group to achieve individual, team, and company objectives by efficiently managing resources and adherence to schedules.
Supervisors are key to setting and maintaining high standards of workmanship ensuring our work activities meet the required specifications and standards.
Qualifications & Experience Mandatory: Minimum Certificate 3 in Civil Construction with 3 years demonstrable on-the-job experience (or) 5 years demonstrable on-the-job experience in a similar role. Valid Drivers Licence Construction Industry White Card Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software programs. Ability to resolve technical and engineering issues with vendors and suppliers relating to civil disciplines. Highly Desired: Mining and/or tier one construction industry experience Proven experience in all facets of civil construction. Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
