About the Business Based in North East Queensland, my client is a local government council currently undertaking some impressive Water Infrastructure Upgrades. They have a large team of client-side representatives and are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer within the council, you will be working a 9-day fortnight helping to deliver some major Water Projects to upgrade the community's access to drinking water. The role is based in North East QLD, and the successful candidate will be required to relocate there for the role.
In this position, you will: Provide expert engineering advice and leadership for Civil Water Projects.Conduct thorough analyses of tender submissions, preparing detailed reports for senior management and Council review.Assist the Manager in overseeing and managing allocated teams and work programs.Optimize team workload to ensure efficient project delivery and maximize value for money.Offer expert advice to Council officers, stakeholders, and Councillors on current and future projects.Manage project delivery, including project management and contract management, for both internal and external resources.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.Willing to relocate to North East Queensland.Extensive experience in civil engineering, project management, and contract management within a medium to large multi-disciplinary organization.Demonstrated expertise in water or water-related projects.Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project and corporate objectives.Benefits: 9-day fortnight with a salary of $126,000 + super + extras.$5,000 - $20,000 sign-on bonus.Excellent water project for CV.Client-side role.
