About the role Our Engineering team is responsible for providing engineering and project management expertise in the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting of our projects.
Working closely with our construction teams on site, you will:
Ensure documentation requirements, internal procedures, ITP's and other requirements applicable to allocated projects, are available for reference and implementation on each site/stageEnsure that quality and HSE requirements for each project are documented and are clearly communicated to the responsible Site SupervisorManage contracts and technical engineering specifications for each projectManage all stakeholders' groups including subcontractors, councils and relevant authoritiesLiaise with other business functions, administration and site management to ensure the flow of materials, as requiredManage project costs and timelines and escalate issues in a timely mannerArrange project meetings and ensure project status minutes are completed and distributedInvestigate any cost, claim and overrun anomalies and address accordinglyForecast final costs and provide regular analysis and updates of these forecasts as each job progressesProvide regular and ad hoc reports on all engineering and project activities as required by ManagementAbout you To be considered, you need to demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualification in Civil EngineeringMinimum 5 years' engineering experience within the civil construction industry, with residential and subdivision exposureAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsEstimate from first principlesSkilled in all MS Office applications including MS Project and ExcelAdvanced analytical skills and ability to challenge existing practices to identify justifiable improvement opportunitiesStrong communication skills, both oral and written with a demonstrated ability to discuss a wide range of issues to people across all levels of the organisationExcellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skillsA positive, proactive, can-do attitude, combined with strong time management and organisation skillsSelf-motivated and can demonstrate initiativeHigh personal and professional work standards with sound planning and organisational skillsOH&S Induction White Card and current Victorian driver's licence are essentialOn Offer Besides a generous Salary Package and Vehicle/Allowance, Rokon provides a family oriented and supportive workplace environment with defined, genuine training and career development opportunities - take the role by the horns and make it your own!
