Civil Project EngineerLocation: Mining Engineering PerthType: Contract or TempContact: Nichola Jones - ******: 17/9/2024Position SummaryJoin our dynamic team as a Civil Project Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering sustaining capital rail projects for tier 1 clients. Based in Perth, WA, you'll be at the forefront of various heavy haul rail study and design projects.In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing schedules for design work, obtaining necessary approvals, and developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. You'll monitor and report on project quality, cost, and schedule, while identifying and mitigating risks. Effective communication and collaboration with the Project Manager, design team, and other stakeholders to resolve potential issues will be key to your success.About the RolePrepare schedules for design work and obtain approvals for flow sheets and drawings.Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.Obtain appropriate approvals for documentation including calculations, specifications, and variations.Monitor and report on aspects of project quality, cost, and schedule.Monitor and identify risks to the project and drive implementation of appropriate controls and mitigations.Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, operations, EPCM service providers, and other contractors on an ongoing basis.Resolve potential issues or escalate them to the Project Manager.Develop and implement project controls, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.About the CandidateBachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering4-8 years of professional experience in project engineering and project managementDemonstrated experience working on mining and rail engineering projectsUnderstanding of heavy haul rail projects will be well-regardedAbility to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good relationshipsHighly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skillsProven project management skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and customer requirements)Ability to interpret and communicate technical informationExperience in project scheduling and budgetingProficiency in risk identification and mitigationExperience liaising with EPCM service providers and other contractorsHow to ApplyAt Inverse Group we are dedicated to creating and improving diverse and inclusive environments within the workforce.
