Civil Project Engineer

NES Fircroft is collaborating with a global leader in the mining industry to find an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role is based in Brisbane CBD.As a Project Engineer, you will provide essential support to a client-side Project Manager, driving the delivery of multiple projects across a diverse portfolio of assets.Key Responsibilities:Report to the Project Manager.Oversee project QA/QC requirements as per the contract.Proactively identify and address quality or safety issues to keep projects on track.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance project delivery through optimisations.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in project engineering within civil infrastructure or mining projects (e.g., roads, bridges, dams, surface water management infrastructure).Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to scope, especially in high safety and quality environments.Strong commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment with a focus on safety culture.Experience in managing subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.Ambition to advance to a Project Manager role and lead your own projects.Benefits:Brisbane CBD-based role with required site travel.Flexible work-from-home options.Competitive compensation.Initial 6-month contract with opportunities for extension.
