Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver design, construct, maintenance, and facilities management services across the Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising John Holland, Service Stream, and WSP.
D4C is seeking a Civil Pipelayer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence across the Southern Region.
Primary Purpose: To join our crews to work on projects including new developments, renewal projects, maintenance, and capital projects in water, wastewater, and stormwater. Responsibilities include trenching, working with live services, pit and pipe layout, lining, resurfacing, performing maintenance on existing assets, and general laboring.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction pipelaying on water mains renewal or maintenance projectsBe physically fit to complete all manual tasks requiredProven experience laying a variety of different pipes: PVC, PE, Cast Iron, DICLPrevious experience working in a small to medium-sized work teamConstruction industry - White CardNSW Driver's licensePlumbing Certificate IIIPoly EF and Buttwelding ticketExperience and knowledge with pipe bursting and slip lining methodologiesLicense to perform doggingExperience working on fast-paced civil utility projects in high traffic environmentsMobile plant statements of attainments for Excavator, Rollers, Skid steers, Loaders, etc.Experience in a similar role in most of the activities listed above and be able to provide referencesHeavy vehicle license (MR/HR)Control electrical risk on metallic pipes certificationKey Accountabilities: Professional and courteous customer service capabilities to engage with customers on-siteProblem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvementDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team, to achieve contract goals and objectives.Operating Monday to Friday – 7 am start - 40 hours per week, you will also support capital work projects.
