About the Role:We are seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Labourer to join our team. The role will be working with a local council based in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction and civil infrastructure projects, providing hands-on support to ensure work is completed to high standards, on time, and within budget. As a Civil Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a range of physical tasks on-site, including digging, lifting, operating plant machinery, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.Temporary position - 3 Months initially with potential to move into an ongoing assignmentCollaborative and team focused environmentOpportunity for participating in leadership professional developmentKey Responsibilities:Report to the Work Group Leader Civil ConstructionProvide duties in support of civil maintenance and construction operationsMaintain safe manner methods and practicesDemonstrate and drive a commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience in all community interactionsWork on construction programs and projects in accordance with council standards and specification in an effective, efficient and timely mannerAssist Civil Structures team undertaking minor repairs and works to built civil infrastructure, including street furnitureOperate a medium sized motor vehicle (single axle truck)Removal of litter and hazardous objects from road reserves and open space areas to provide a safe and pleasant environment for the communityMaintain equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition in accordance with the recommended operating practices including the completion of a daily pre-start safety checklistErect temporary signage and traffic control associated with municipal maintenance and construction works in accordance with Australian Standards and clients policies and proceduresAdequately manage any corporate records and received according to clients policies, procedures and legislationSkills & Experience:Certificate III in Civil Construction (desirable)Demonstrated competence in all local work team activitiesDrivers licence- minimum MRCurrent National Police Clearance CertificateWork Zone Traffic Management Certificate (desirable)General plant and equipment qualifications (desirable)Demonstrated competence in undertaking manual workDemonstrated and drive commitment in delivering high-quality customer experience in all interactions (internally and externally)Demonstrated ability to work autonomouslyApply NowTo register your interest, please forward your current resume and cover letter via the application link.Your confidential application will be acknowledged by email and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by phone from the Davies Stewart team.
