About the Role: As a Civil Estimator, you will prepare and submit estimates, maintain and update our estimating databases, and obtain client feedback on submitted tenders. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our tenders meet client expectations and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare estimates, tenders, and quotes in collaboration with the estimating team. Prioritize workloads to meet tender deadlines. Liaise with clients to determine the progress of tenders and present feedback at estimating team meetings. Support tender queries from project team personnel and participate in the development of tender methodologies and programming. Maintain cooperative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Assist with 'Expression of Interest' and 'Capability Statements' preparation as required. Stay updated with changes in Australian Standards/Regulations, construction techniques, and specifications. Coordinate tender reviews with the Senior Management team prior to final submission. Ensure workplace harmony within the estimating team and assist with team training and development. Review and comply with contractual requirements, including insurance limits and tender results. Engage in business development activities and promote the company as required. Qualifications and Experience: General Safety Induction Card Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field Strong understanding of construction methods, documentation, specifications, plans, and drawings. Ability to understand and apply company quality and estimating procedures. Proven project and program management skills with the ability to build, motivate, and mentor a team. High level of computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Project, Vista, and estimating software packages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
