Duties include:Analyse tender documentation and develop an estimation planProvide bid management support and prepare accurate benchmarked, well-structured estimates for road construction tendersPrepare and issue invitations to tender and assess quotations for compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, and contract conditionsReview proposed project programmes prepared for tender for completeness and accuracyActively pursue alternative construction methods/solutions to create value competitive tendersMaintain records of tender correspondence, calculations, and methodologiesPresent estimates, including basis of estimates, risks, and opportunities at tender review meetingsPrepare support estimate analyses and documents/reports including cashflows, P&L, NPVs, R&Os, tender summaries, direct cost reports, and schedule of rate markupsRequired Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications (Engineering, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, or similar)Proficient in CATS or Expert Estimation or similar softwareProven track record in developing estimates for successful road and civil construction tenders up to $50m+High level of independence and ability to self-manage the completion of deliverables against hard deadlinesCapable of preparing quantitative risk estimates using deterministic and probabilistic methodsUnderstanding of enterprise agreements; ability to prepare shift rosters and convert EA conditions to cost per unit rates for appropriate rolesYou must hold full working rights in Australia.About VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
