WSP Australia's Water Utilities team is seeking experienced Civil Engineers with demonstrated backgrounds in water and wastewater network infrastructure engineering and design to collaborate on iconic projects that drive future-ready outcomes for our clients and communities.
We are looking for all levels of Civil Engineers, from Professionals to Associates, to join our multi-disciplinary team supporting major water and wastewater infrastructure programs around Australia.
About the Role As a Civil Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our national multi-disciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drive technical excellence in water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.Develop and execute civil designs from concept design to detailed design, ensuring high technical standards including the production and review of high-quality technical documentation.Support the design team in improving client feedback, enhancing satisfaction, and exceeding expectations.Participate in project and design management across a range of projects and program of works.Mentor and develop emerging professionals.Collaborate effectively within local and national teams, particularly on large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects and programs.About You: We're looking for experienced Civil Engineers who ideally have a proven track record in designing and delivering projects in the Water sector.
You will have prior experience working on projects involving water network infrastructure such as water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, etc.
You enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and engaging with clients, with the objective of providing civil engineering solutions which meet our clients' requirements.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a natural curiosity to develop innovative solutions.
You will have:
Experience in engineering consultancy or design roles for contractors or asset owners (Water industry experience).Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in a consultancy environment.Experience in the design management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Prior experience on Sydney Water projects highly advantageous but is not essential.Good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes.Well-developed use and understanding of Civil 3D modelling software, and 2D software is advantageous.Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.Ability to submit technical reports to a high standard.With us, you can.
