About the Position We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join a rapidly growing and dynamic team. Candidates will be based on the Gold Coast, QLD. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret Structural and Architectural drawings. Assign and monitor material and human resources for each project to ensure positive outcomes. Interpret the standards that are used to determine wind loads for a building: AS 1170.2 Structural Design Actions and AS 4055 Wind Loads for Housing. Interpret the AS 1562.1 2018 – Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding – which is a vital Australian Standard influencing the roofing industry. This standard is essential for ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity in roofing projects. Have a understanding regarding different materials and their properties, such as aluminium/glazing/stainless steel. Establish and maintain communication with Senior Engineer. Report project risk, changes and outcomes to the appropriate channels. Establish and maintain a process to achieve quality standards on site. Keep direct communication and relations with providers and subcontractors. Ensure relevant legislation is complied with. When required work with the Senior Engineer to deliver construction plans to the local councils and/or prepare tenders for the organization. Work seamlessly with the other teams to ensure projects meet clients needs and timeline. Carry out all civil engineering work as directed; including investigations, preparation of designs, reports, calculations, contract documents, inspections, and other engineering consultancy deliverables required by project briefs, to the required technical and professional standards. Mentor others within your area of expertise. About You: Appropriate Bachelor Degree qualification in structures/civil with approximately 3 years relevant experience. Strong knowledge, understanding and application of technical concepts, processes and activities. Strong quality focus, with a commitment to continuous improvement Ability to lead designers and drafters to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Thorough knowledge of the application of relevant standards and the minimisation of project risk. Self-directed and motivated to succeed with minimal oversight. Demonstrated intermediate skills in relevant software programs. Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience within the range of $90,000 - 100,000 plus superannuation.
