We regularly tender for works in Brisbane region and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Civil Engineers with Contract Administrators experience CA01 (Old B01 Category) interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments within the next month for an initial 1 - 2 years with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.Responsibilities:The Contract Administrator (or also acting Contract Administrator's Representative) shall review, comment and endorse engineering drawings (if required), specifications, reports and annexures against project requirements, including statutory and legislative requirements, submissions to external agencies and specific requests on behalf of TMR.Key activities in the Contract Administration Services Technical Brief that may be required by TMR may include:Assist the Contract Administrators in assessing and verifying all stages of construction are compliant, including with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011;Monitor Contractor's progress and compliance against the construction program;Verify that the parts of the works claimed for payment comply with the requirements of the Contract;Review and provide comment on any Contractor design submissions;Coordinate and seek comments from TMR specialists and the wider project team;Define verification, inspection and surveillance, and to check responsibilities;Provide guidance on key procedures and forms;Integrate with the TMR Contract Administration System.The Contract Administrator shall carry out all necessary procedures such as administration, surveillance, and liaison to ensure delivery of the Works consistent with the essential parameters (time, cost and quality) determined for the Contract.Another role of the Contract Administrator / Representative includes:Preparation and submission of a Contract Administration Plan;Preparation of project budgets;The completion of monthly reports;Assistance with public enquiries, etc. as detailed in this Technical Brief;Assist the Contract Administrator by providing performance information such as financial, programming, quality, safety, cultural heritage and environmental data in relation to the construction Contract and keeping the Contract Administrator informed of site events.Mandatory Experience:Min 5 years' post-RPEQ or substantive post graduate experience in the design, construction, maintenance and contract admin of TMR projects relating to road and transport infrastructure;Mandatory Qualifications:Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust);Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).Preference given to someone living in Brisbane or willing to relocate there, however we will consider alternatives.
