The client: Our client is a multi-discipline consultancy that has been in operations for over 25 years, specialising in structural and civil works design for building structures, industrial, commercial and residential developments and plant & production projects.
The role: This is a 6 month contract role with a view to turn into a permanent position.
We are seeking someone with experience in the design of stormwater drainage and detention systems including basement drainage (pump systems), pavements and car parks.
The day-to-day tasks would involve: Preparation of stormwater drainage designs for residential, industrial and commercial projects including detention systems and basement drainage. Prepared detailed drawings for paving and drainage, car park and access path using AutoCAD. Design of pavements and car parks. Conducting site inspections and liaising with council authorities for design and permit approval. Prepare technical reports and specifications. Liaising with builders and fellow engineers to provide workable solutions. The successful candidate will have the following attributes: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Local and proven experience as a civil engineer in an engineering consultancy environment. Experience in preparing detailed design and documentation of roads intersections, pavements, earthworks, and stormwater drainage. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time, whilst working autonomously. Understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
