We are seeking an experienced Design Drafter Track & Civil to join our Client based in Perth.

The Role
In this role, you will use your skills as an expert to cater to the CAD requirements of the Track & Civil Infrastructure Domain i.e., Rail, Formation, Bridges, Drainage, Road, and others in a green field and brown field operations environment with emphasis on safety and reliability in the operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation, review, and evaluation of specialized railway track & civil detailed engineering drawings and plans.Developing and managing railway corridor plans & utilities plan with georeferencing.Conducting site visits and preparing survey plans, layout plans, and setting out details for the track & civil Infrastructure elements.Performing other CAD & 3D works as required for developing shop/construction drawings.Deriving bill of quantity calculations for earthworks, formation works, track geometry design & drawing, and perway engineering drawing. Your key duties and responsibilities will be: All works assigned within the general capacity as an expert in Design & Drafting must comply with the CoP and standard good practices across the industry to ensure safe and reliable train operations.Reviewing and developing the CAD and Survey Standards, specifications, and documentation for drawing management and control.Working closely with the Track & Civil Engineers and other Internal Stakeholders to develop, prepare, and coordinate designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software, carrying out design/drafting and accuracy checks as per the latest relevant standards.Developing, reviewing, and checking the Structural and Track Clearance requirements drawings and detailed cross sections.Specifying, reviewing, and checking drawing/drafting submissions for track & civil and other rail infra elements from third-party design consultants and the internal track & civil engineering team.Complying with the interface requirements for developing the CAD drafts/drawings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Assisting the Track Engineering Team in the coordination and implementation of internal projects and projects of external third parties.Developing, preparing, and amending rail corridor plans (as required) with georeferencing.Being adaptable to undertake any activity as directed by the Principal Track Engineer to support business objectives.Leading, managing, and monitoring the CAD requirements with internal or external third-party design consultants to develop and prepare the documentation and drawing set for the rail projects, ensuring all drawings have consistent presentation and meet relevant requirements and standards. About You
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
A Diploma in Engineering or similar, preferably Civil (or extensive experience in a similar role).A minimum of 08 years' experience with CAD & 3D responsibilities in an engineering & design environment, preferably with at least 02 years' experience in leading the drafting team.A minimum of 04-05 years' rail design experience, with experience in Brownfield environments with Multiple and Passenger Rail Tracks, Metro tracks, with preference given to personnel with infrastructure design experience.Proven CAD skills in AutoCAD/MicroStation or equivalent CAD package.Proven ability to develop and review/check 3D models, drawings, and other associated design deliverables.Any previous CAD work experience while engaged on behalf of Arc Infrastructure will be viewed favorably.GIS and Global Mapper experience including georeferencing.Preferably (not essential) basic design skills or experience using 12D or other equivalent track alignment design package. Skills and Competencies: A strong understanding of Rail Track & Civil, Bridge, Formation & Road Geometric Design philosophies along with rail & civil construction techniques.A sound working knowledge and thorough understanding of Geometric Rail Design Standards & Specifications, Operational requirements, Safety in Design considerations, Structural & Track Clearance requirements, together with general site constraints affecting the optimization of the Track Alignment Design, especially in Multi Line, Passenger Lines, coupled with Platforms and Structures.Strong interpersonal skills & ability to productively work with other engineering professionals in a dynamic project environment.Expertise in relevant CAD/3D Design software and MS Office Suite of programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
