The Civil Design Engineer will work collaboratively with the Asset Engineering team. Group members are encouraged to share their skills and ideas; personal development is encouraged and supported, and you will have the opportunity to innovate across design processes. This key role is responsible for the planning, design development, detailed design and tender documentation of the full range of municipal infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roadworks, water supply and sewerage, stormwater management, marine, environmental and other municipal engineering works. In addition to developing your personal design skills, you will be exposed to a wide variety of projects requiring both engineering knowledge and administrative/design management skills, including the management/coordination of consulting engineers and specialist service providers within and external to Council.

Importantly, you will act professionally with integrity, respect, and courage and provide a high level of customer service. You will hold a Degree in Civil Engineering and have significant experience.
Your Manager is passionate about the development of his team and will provide ongoing opportunities for networking, training, rotations, mentoring, and exposure to different areas of the civil engineering discipline and the associated management skills required.
