About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in creating detailed, high quality civil designs for a variety of major infrastructure projects.

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Carry out civils design work for infrastructure projectsShow a desire for continued development and ability to undertake tasks that are outside of current expertiseInterpret and understand the Project Scope and Technical RequirementsConduct detailed Civil design, calculations, reports and specifications including: early works, utilities and conduits, geotechnical general interpretation and earthworks analyses, alignment design, drainage, pavements, road/tunnel safetyCommunicate with and take direction from the Senior Engineer to ensure that line wide requirements are understood and incorporated into deliverablesFollow line wide standards for design to ensure commonality is achieved across precinctsParticipate and contribute to peer review and multi-disciplinary review sessions for design assurance purposesParticipate in safety in design workshops and actively implement outcomesReport progress and constraints to the Senior Engineer at regular intervalsConsider constructability in all design outcomes and consult with relevant team members to ensure that design outcomes are constructibleFollow digital engineering principles and project workflows/procedures for: front end design, detailing and submissionRequired Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 5 - 10 years' experience working on design of Civils for major infrastructure projectsWorking knowledge of relevant Australian StandardsExperience in delivery of detailed design and documentation for a major infrastructure projectExperience working as part of a multi-disciplinary teamExperience and detailed Technical understanding of infrastructures projects, specifically: Early works, alignment design & earthworks, drainage, pavements, structures, fencing and road/tunnel safetyExperience in production of project deliverables such as reports, specifications, drawings and technical papersUnderstanding of the design development processAbility to work to and report against the Project Schedule including Earned Value status reportingUnderstanding of the cost management process and reportingDedication to "Safety in Design" principlesAdditional Preferred Experience: Chartered Professional Engineer, CPEng (or similar)Previous relevant role for road or rail projectsExperience with 12D and/or OpenRoadsDesign experience using BIM and digital engineering toolsUnderstanding of constructability issuesWhat we Offer: A positive team culture, flexible working arrangements, opportunities to be part of unique and transformative projects while learning from industry experts.
