Dileigh Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd (Dileigh) is seeking an experienced AutoCAD draftsperson or civil designer on a Full time basis to assist our design section, predominantly with subdivision design and documentation. Dileigh is a Yeppoon civil and structural engineering consultancy, providing technical-based engineering support for civil and structural construction contractors and local government authorities. Our area of expertise is in the civil and structural construction industry, providing a complete range of services and solutions for all stages of the project life cycle from planning, conceptualization detailed design, and documentation. The successful applicant should have experience in: -Subdivision design and documentation (roads, stormwater, sewer, water)Liaison with local government and service authoritiesResponsibilities will include but not be limited to: -Provide plans and documentation for development applications, tenders, and construction.Liaising and coordination with all relevant stakeholders including architects, engineers, planners, and contractorsIdentify cost-effective and practical solutions to design variationsPrepare final drawings and documentation for the clientEnsure that all works undertaken are in accordance with appropriate professional and technical standards and practicesSelection CriteriaTo be considered for this role candidates must be able to meet the following criteriaHave at least 3 years of design/drafting experience working for a civil design consultancy or a government agency in a similar role.Ability to work in a close team environmentA strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil3D, or a high proficiency in a similar product and the ability to transfer those skills to AutoCAD & Civil3D.A sound knowledge of civil drafting and documentation for development assessment and constructionEffective communication skills to co-ordinate with the client. assessment authorities, contractors, and other design disciplinesGood Windows-based computer skills and proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of productsProven skills in defining, prioritising, organising, and completing tasks to meet deadlinesAn excellent eye for detailA friendly amiable personality and polite professional manner.The following qualities are not essential, but it would be desirable to have: -A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Diploma or higher), or the ability and desire to attain one.Remuneration: -Remuneration will be based on an individual's experience and negotiated with the successful applicant.Please submit your Resume using the "Apply for this job now" button.All applications will be treated as confidential.
