The Role: We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our diverse construction projects.
This role demands not only a dynamic leader who can effectively manage field teams and subcontractors but also someone who is willing and able to engage in physical work alongside their team.
The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in civil construction, capable of adapting to the unique challenges of various projects, from groundwork to completion, and demonstrate hands-on proficiency as needed.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise day to day operations, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards.Directly engage in and oversee physical and manual tasks as required, demonstrating a hands-on approach to leadership.Read and interpret project plans and specifications to direct construction activities.Oversee site safety, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.Manage resources efficiently, including labour, materials and machinery, to maximise productivity and minimise costs.Serve as the primary point of communication for clients, subcontractors and project teams, maintaining strong and effective relationships.Drive continuous improvement in all areas of project execution, including quality control, safety and environmental stewardship.Requirements: Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory role within civil construction, with a demonstrated ability to perform physical work as part of the role.Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials and legal regulations.Physically fit and able to participate in manual labour as required to support and lead the team effectively.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and managing a diverse team.Problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to dealing with challenges and constraints.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.Current Drivers licence and ability to pass any drug/alcohol tests.Full Australian Working rights.Why Join Us: Competitive salary package with opportunities for professional development.Work within a supportive and experienced team environment.Opportunity to work on a variety of projects that make a tangible difference in the community.A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability in all we do.Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter detailing their experience, skills, and why they are the perfect fit for the role, particularly highlighting their ability to undertake manual work as part of their supervisory duties.
