Learn more > www.pensar.com.au About you: You are a highly competent and committed Supervisor with a proven track record of efficiently managing multi-disciplinary projects in the infrastructure space. Projects with structural, civil and utilities type scopes- achieving project time and budget objectives. You are passionate about your work and are driven by the challenge of contributing to the success of your project. You bring energy and experience but also new ideas, innovation and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Helping to lead and organise a highly skilled team of trades and subcontractors and liaising directly with clients and consultants is something you consider a strength. You understand and can manage construction programs and project safety whilst mitigating risk and ensuring quality standards and specifications are met.
You are team-focused, self-motivated and get great results via effective prioritization of tasks and time management. You are known for your accuracy, commercial acumen and good understanding of the financial aspects that underpin successful projects. You pride yourself on your ability to work collaboratively with engineers to track cost whilst developing, implementing and managing project budgets. You understand your projects thoroughly and can easily complete accurate forecasts and prepare contractual claims, variations and associated correspondence with minimal fuss.
About the Project: "Rookwood Weir Fish Passage Project". Construction of a new Fishway on the existing 'Fitzroy Barrage' as an offset to a waterway barrier impact to fish imposed by the construction of Rookwood Weir in the Lower Fitzroy catchment. Structural and civil construction predominately.
Some of your key accountabilities will include: Monitor, direct, liaise with subcontractors/ employee's and client to ensure safe systems of work, quality assurance and maintain program targets;Monitoring of the projects daily productivity rates vs programme requirements and complete daily diary.Review and co-ordinate all temporary works and water management.Contribute to development of work methods and rolling short term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work.Organise and supervise the placement of materials, plant and equipment. Including Cranes and concrete pumps.Work with subcontractors and self-preforming teams to ensure coordination of deliveries and quality management.Assist in the training of workers and contractors;Conduct daily prestart and weekly toolbox meetings;Conduct formal and informal site safety walks and proactively resolve issues; Ensure the project has a good culture.Work with subcontractors including piling, earthworks, structural steel and electrical.Understand budgets and manage cost control.Be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Community and Environmental Management Plans.What you need: Proven experience as a civil and structural/concreting supervisorCertificate IV in relevant construction qualification or trade certificateSkill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings and construction methodologiesQLD Drivers licenseWillingness to commit to the project duration and commit to FIFO to RockhamptonProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project etc)An understanding of Ground works, Temporary works and concrete structuresManage cranes lifting including precast panels.
