The Role
The Inclusive Employment Program is designed to provide temporary workplace opportunities and experience for local people who face barriers to employment, for a duration of six months. To apply for this position, you must live within the City of Whittlesea municipality, and you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
People from Culturally or Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgroundsPeople living with disabilityOlder people unable to find suitable employmentResidents who may be experiencing hardshipMake a difference in our community!
As part of the Office of Council and CEO (OCCEO) team, the Civic Facilities Officer provides key support for the organisation in terms of being responsible for all of the meeting spaces within the Council/Civic wing of the Council offices. This position provides high quality presentation of the Civic Centre's public areas and meeting rooms. Professional services to Council, staff and members of the public using these areas.
About You
You are a customer-focused individual who thrives on variety and enjoys ensuring that meeting spaces are fully prepared for events. With a keen eye for detail, you effectively manage tasks that support both staff and community needs. Your ability to handle basic administration helps facilitate seamless communication with hirers and users about their meeting requirements. You appreciate staying active and don't mind light physical work. Proactive and observant, you can easily identify what needs to be done, making you a valuable asset to our team.
