Reporting to the Coordinator Project Delivery the Client-Side Project Manager (Construction) is responsible for project management and delivery of Councils capital renewal projects, and ad-hoc projects from inception through to completion, including superintendency of projects during construction phase.

Key Responsibilities: Project manage a diverse range of projects from inception through to completion including roads, footpaths, pedestrian crossings, retaining walls, fencing, creek rehabilitation, stormwater, irrigation, park shelters, sports courts, sports lighting, playgrounds, new toilet blocks, and sporting, community and council building upgrades and refurbishments (including heritage buildings).
Engagement and management of a wide variety of stakeholders (internal and external).
Collaborate and liaise with engineering, design and technical teams and consultants (including reading and understanding complex technical specifications, drawings and project documents) to write content and prepare request for quote and request for tender documents.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, which vary in scale and complexity and are at different phases of development and construction.
Experience as a client-side project manager (or demonstrated experience working as a project manager for a builder or private sector project management).
Tertiary qualification in Project Management or related discipline such as Architecture, Construction Management, Building Management, etc.
Experience being superintendent's representative on construction project.
Experience delivering construction projects from inception through to completion.
Ability to prepare project management plans, manage and update project programs, identify risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills that fosters positive working relationships.
Financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
Consistent evidence-based decision making, with innovative problem solving and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Competent IT skills that enable the use of corporate systems in the day to day work activities.
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
Willingness to undertake training to obtain Council's Level 2 Procurement on commencement.
Work safely in the Construction Industry (Whitecard) or willingness to obtain on commencement.
This position is 1 FTE, but may be awarded as 2 part time positions (equivalent to 1 FTE) should the top two preferred candidates wish to work part time.

Salary range is between $104,412 - $111,013 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
