Senior Building Surveying
About the position:
The City is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join the City Growth team.
In this role you will assist with the coordination of the Building Surveying Team ensuring the City's obligations and functions are carried out in a professional and efficient manner.
The role is responsible for implementation of the City's building objectives through the processing of applications and dealing with enquiries relating to building and the development of land.
Key accountabilities:
Prepare and review reports for Council's consideration and attend Council and/or Committee meetings as required by the Coordinator Building Surveying, Manager City Growth or Director Development Services.
Implement Council resolutions and provide regular reports to the Coordinator Building Surveying on progress of action.
Assist and contribute towards the identification, development, implementation and review of guidelines, policies and procedures in relation to building surveying.
Process building applications of a range of complexity, in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements.
Position requirements:
The successful applicant should have formal qualifications and experience as a building surveying practitioner Level 2 relevant to Western Australia Building Commission requirements.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $111,883 per annum or $56.6207 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
