City Marketing Lead Salary Range Band 7 $107,570 - $120,376 plus 11.5% SuperFull time permanent role in a high-performing communications and marketing teamLocated at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.About the Organisation City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation.
About the Role This City Marketing Lead position will suit a marketing communications professional with excellent writing, marketing campaign and social media management skills, and a passion for delivering customer-focused communications and engaging content that deliver results.
Duties: Develop and deliver marketing, communications, and content strategies, plans and content to support the promotion of Council programs and initiatives.Execute effective campaigns across the full breadth of marcomms channels, including organic and paid digital channels.Lead destination marketing campaigns and content delivery for Port Phillip's iconic southside neighbourhoods, venues, events, and seasonal programs.Produce well-written communications and creative, engaging content for a variety of audiences and channels. Deliver marcomms campaign planning, implementation, tracking, measurement and post analysis reporting.Liaise and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including the community, staff from all services and at all levels across Council, local government organisations and other community partners including local traders and businesses. Work to tight deadlines in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders and demands.Skills and Experience Relevant digital communications and marketing experience, including the development and implementation of communication plans and successfully delivering high profile, multi-channel communication campaigns.Communications and digital marketing planning and campaign implementation including campaign performance tracking, measurement, post analysis and reporting.Relevant business experience operating a range of digital communication channels including social media and email marketing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly; ability to translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand, plain language and engaging content for a broad audience.Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and manage multiple competing demands, working to tight deadlines in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders.Experience in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and video content development (filming and basic editing) would be highly regarded.Culture People enjoy working at the City of Port Phillip because we are a welcoming, healthy and inclusive workplace.
