Our Branch Community Facilities leads the sustainable management of Council-owned community facing assets including administration of City Hall and cemeteries and crematoria services.
The Role Provide responsive customer service and excellent cleaning standards in this diverse role, directly responsible for keeping our heritage-listed City Hall in top shape. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of the iconic Clock Tower, The Museum of Brisbane, vacuuming and polishing floors, emptying rubbish, cleaning toilets, office spaces and meeting rooms, as well as multiple kitchen facilities, all part of a daily list of duties.
This is a supportive and autonomous working environment, where you will provide professional cleaning as well as Committee and Chamber support for the sitting of Council. You will be working with internal and external customers of Brisbane City Hall, members of the public, and other Council members, as part of a supportive and hard-working team.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible and have excellent customer service skills with a willingness to provide a tea and coffee service when required. You will also be able to attentively interact with a variety of stakeholders, with access to sensitive and restricted areas.
Working Monday to Friday from 0600, across a nine-day fortnight, you will work on your own as well as with a small collaborative team throughout your day. Occasional overtime is available and paid accordingly and a Brisbane City Council uniform is provided.
