The Juries Act 2000 provides for the operation and administration of a system of trial by jury that equitably spreads the obligation of jury service amongst the community and makes jurors more representative of the community.The successful candidate will provide local operational support and assistance to judges and their staff on circuit, the Senior Registrar and Juries Victoria's leadership team more broadly.Juries Victoria is looking for someone with energy and imagination, who approaches their work with passion and a focus on service excellence.About the Role Reporting to the Deputy Juries Commissioner but working closely with the local Senior Registrar, the Circuit Jury Coordinator will be the local single point of contact for judges and their staff when jury trials are listed and proceeding.
The Circuit Jury Coordinator is also the key link between circuit operations and Juries Victoria's leadership team, supporting Juries Victoria's planning and forecasting responsibilities for the respective jury district.
To be successful in this role, you can demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with Juries Victoria's stakeholders, problem solve and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic operational environment.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise your work and provide confident and informed advice.
Duties involve answering phone and counter enquiries, providing information on jury service, attending court, communicating with court staff and other administrative tasks.
About You To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
You will be enthusiastic and will not be afraid to present information to groups.
You will also be organised, have excellent computer and data entry skills, and be able to work within a small team.
Experience working in a professional office environment is highly regarded.
