The Opportunity Sedgman Prudentia is seeking a Planner to join our Greenfields project team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Lead Planner, you will be part of a Queensland-based Projects team, supporting a major project across various stages, including Feasibility, FEED, Project Delivery, within the exciting future of critical minerals to support new technologies. This role requires specific knowledge and experience in working in an engineer house understanding engineering design activities on a large, detailed design project. Development of engineering scope.
The primary duties of the Planner are:
Develop and maintain detailed integrated engineering schedule aligned with standards and stakeholder needs across project phases, such as studies, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Analyse Critical Path activities. Participate in Schedule Risk Analysis workshops as required. Collaborate with stakeholders (Engineering Manager & Discipline Leads) to determine full logic, activity durations and other inputs for the project schedule. Integrate subcontractor, supplier, and service provider programs into the overall project schedule. Track, monitor, and manage project progress and schedule, offering corrective guidance as needed. Compile and present prioritised lists of upcoming tasks. Provide timely, accurate project reports, including forecasting and S-Curves. Assess and report on changes in project scope, whether internally or externally driven, and their potential impact on budget, timeline, and resources. Assist in the development of site tracking sheets and progress measurement tools as required. Skills and Experience: 3-5 years of planning experience within the engineering, mining, construction, or oil & gas industry. A tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relatable field. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and Microsoft Project (other planning software will also be considered). Strong background in detailed reporting, including Earned Value Analysis and progress S-Curves. Experience with resource loaded schedules. Practical on-site experience is highly regarded.
