Mount Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres North of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen and Glendell open cut mines. The integration of these operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine.
An opportunity exists for a CHPP Technician (Electrical Trade) at MGO. Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, you will follow a rotating shift roster. Your primary focus will be to operate and maintain CHPP equipment to the standard required to meet target outputs safely and effectively. Within your role you will be required to effectively identify and communicate risk associated with health, safety and environmental impacts.
The requirements for success in this role include: Formal Electrical Trade qualification. Previous experience in operating ROM loaders, stockpile dozers and haul trucks (desirable). Motivated and positive attitude towards your work. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety and sustainability. You will have a high regard for the value of teamwork and the provision of visible leadership.
