Hands On Leadership: Work alongside your team while driving safety and performance. We are currently seeking a CHPP Supervisor at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) Mine.
Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets, with an extension of an additional pit at Moorvale South, adding to our coal production.
About the Role Join our close-knit team at Moorvale as a hands-on CHPP Supervisor, where you'll lead a small, experienced and highly engaged crew.
Reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, you'll ensure safe, efficient plant operations while fostering a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities: Hands On Leadership: Lead by example while actively supporting day-to-day CHPP operations. Safety & Compliance: Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, conducting investigations, and managing risks. Team Development: Coach and mentor a small, skilled team while managing performance and career development. Operational Excellence: Oversee production targets, including feed rates, product quality, water management, and plant availability. Contractor & Resource Management: Supervise contractors, manage leave calendars, and ensure effective team coverage. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with Mining, Maintenance, and Logistics teams, ensuring accurate documentation and operational transparency. The lifestyle:

About You To excel in this hands-on CHPP Supervisor role, you'll need extensive operational experience, technical expertise, and a passion for driving team performance.
Stockpile dozer experience is essential. What You'll Bring: CHPP Operational Expertise: Proven experience managing CHPP operations with a focus on safety, productivity, and efficiency. Technical Skills: Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Fitting, Plumbing, or a similar trade. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including high-voltage electrical systems. Experience coordinating maintenance activities, including major shutdowns. Leadership & Team Engagement: Comfortable working alongside the team, leading by example, and driving operational success. Safety First Approach: An uncompromising commitment to safety with a solid understanding of risk management and hazard identification. Work Ethic & Flexibility: A proactive team player with a strong work ethic and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
